And I’d like, belatedly perhaps, to lead the plaudits for Mr Phelps, whose name as the most recent poster on a thread pretty much guarantees that I’ll check it out.

My sincere thanks to you, TG, as you have provided many a chuckle and food for thought in the nearly decade and a half
we have toiled against the stodgy, humorless, and musically-conservative status quo on this board.

Gotta say, that thread-starting list is one big cup of what? and boring disappointment.

I don't know about the rest of youse, but Tall Guy and Onyabirri have delivered some quality work on the "Alan Meyerson Score Mixing Seminar" thread, which is fast becoming one of my personal favorite topics.

Don't take my word for it:

For me, Manderley's posts have always been fascinating. His encyclopedic knowledge of all aspects of film production (not just film music) taught me a lot. A compendium of his posts through the years would be a master class for anyone interested in film history.

I always enjoy Mr Marshall’s mixed upper- and lower-case posts.

Hear him, hear him!

Manders and his love of cats and dry humour is one of this forum’s greatest pleasures.

I recall years ago, during a discussion on how people chose playlists, one poster said that they just skip around until they were satisfied. Another member replied that they wouldn't recommend trying that in their neighbourhood.

Made me laugh then, makes me laugh still.

Can you please provide a lyric sheet. I don't have sound capabilities.

Thank you

A seasoned film-score collector...without sound capabilities? That seems unlikely. wink
