He, he....

I stopped ruminating over that years ago, and instead came to terms with a free solo life. Not that I would object violently if a woman showed some interest.

Full time night woman?
I never could find no tracks on a woman's heart.
I packed me a squaw for ten year, Pilgrim. Cheyenne, she were, and the meanest bitch that ever balled for beads. I lodge-poled her at Deadwood Creek, and traded her for a Hawken gun.
But don't get me wrong; I loves the womens, I surely do. But I swear, a woman's breast is the hardest rock that the Almighty ever made on this earth, and I can find no sign on it.

Jim, your constant heckling of people you deem "nerds" and/or "film score collectors" seems to me to indicate that you may actually be a virgin living in your parents' basement. You see, on "The Computer" we can be whoever we want to be, meaning promoting a usually false or at least distorted image of reality.

You'd be more of the "man" you claim to be if you would only have the cojones (oh the irony) to admit the truth.

If you need some coaxing, let me start by saying that I am fifty-seven years old, virgin, and live in my parents' basement. Over to you, Jim - if you're man enough.

I manage a run-down motel.
But Mother calls the shots.

N..N...No Mother!!!

Of course not. What was the silly old bat thinking? More likely, "Your father's asking about some gardening magazines he'd hidden at the back of the wardrobe. You haven't got them down there, have you?"

The answer would be the same though.

The fact that I have posted here at FSM for sixteen years and state this while ("whilst") eating my daily bowl of Frosted Flakes ("Frosties") topped with bananas ("bananas") is proof enough of my own nerdiness.

A Film Score Nerd's Lament - to the tune of "Lookin' for Love" (Morrison/Ryan/Mallette)
(Short version)

Well, I've spent a lifetime in search of a girl;
Who would take me as I am,
And make my head twirl.
Hopin’ that she would love film scores, too;
And see John and Jerry as film score gods, like all us nerds do.

I’ve been lookin’ for love from my parents’ basement
Stumblin’ around in a state of amazement.
That girls just don’t get my high appraisement
Of scores I’m dreamin’ of.
Hopin' to find a friend and a lover;
Who’ll help me as I discover
Another score that we can love.

I’ve been a sad-sack excuse of a man
Thinkin’ of Farrah in Saturn 3 while lovin’ my hand.
I just want a girl to be my best friend,
And know the joys of Filmscore Monthly
The thrill never ends!

Made me laugh. I did correct the spelling of Mrs. Lee Majors' name, however.

"Farrah Fawcett-Majors" Now THAT was a time, wasn't it?

Correction noted and implemented, thanks! A Major faux pas. wink

Hope Joan and Edwzoomom aren't offended at the "hand love" line.

Cretin, a part of me died after reading the "Dark Phoenix" saga...

...unfortunately for you people, it wasn't the part that posts at FSM. big grin

Looking at pictures in a comic book does not qualify as " reading"

Yes yes yes Jim, we know all that already. You're dodging the issue again. Let me spell it out for you -

ARE YOU A VIRGIN? (If it's not a personal question.)

I consider myself "pure", if that's what you mean.

Honestly, some erstwhile inquiring minds don't want to know. wink
