These upstart "Cosmic Crisp" apples finally got small enough that I was willing to buy one. (The ones I'd seen so far were as big as a dog's head, fer Kendall's sake, so I wasn't about to spend over 3 clams a pound on one.) But should I eat it, to see if the taste is worth the extra cost? Or should I leave it on a shelf to see if it really does last 1 year without refrigeration? Should I do something? Or just wring my hands?

I also just finished off a big jug of Cosmic Crisp apple juice. You're making this up. Fake Juice!

I also just finished off a big jug of Cosmic Crisp apple juice. Such a scrumptious nectar of chill for breakfast! I finally saw this in the market, but didn't look at the cost. Is it at a premium price, just like the apples?

I paid $4.99 for my jug (bought at a QFC/Kroger). Maybe I'll wait to see if it goes on sale. I don't often buy juice, and the fresh, unjuiced one was only just okay. I don't want to a premium rates for something I might end up using in my oatmeal....

Now the huge ones are 50% off. Just saw: medium-sized ones, in a bargain bag, about 2.5 pounds. 99 cents. And they supposedly keep forever. Go figure.

Now the huge ones are 50% off. Just saw: medium-sized ones, in a bargain bag, about 2.5 pounds. 99 cents. And they supposedly keep forever. Go figure. I found a use for at least one of these. I going to keep canned goods for an "emergency lunch" at my desk, in case I forget to bring my own. If these things are as durable as they say, it should keep until I need it, right?

(They don't have Tillimook Toasted Coconut Fudge ice cream anymore either, but that's a whole other story.) And they call themselves A MARKET???
